April 15-18 ESPN Bassmaster Elite Tournament - Parkway Marina in Huddleston
April 30: SML Business Expo, 12:00 Noon - 6:30 PM at Downtown Moneta - This is the perfect opportunity for all businesses to showcase their products and services to each other and to the public that packs the event. Visitors can stroll through each booth and get to know the local businesses, meet new people, and build relationships.
May 7: Annual SML Triathlon held at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park
May 21-22: Tom Maynard Memorial Poker Run - Boating safety is the emphasis of this fundraising event for local organizations. Prizes for best appearing boat and best card hand are awarded. Registration at Bridgewater Plaza and awards Banquet at Mariner's Landing.
July 4: July FIREWORKS! Saunders Parkway Marina - enjoy the spectacular show by boat, from the shoreline or one of the best seats in the house...our condo at Woodlands!
September 16-17: Annual Antique Classic Boat & Car Show at Mariners Landing includes antique boats, cars, a variety of foods/activities for the kids to enjoy.
September 24-25: Annual SML Wine Festival - 16 wineries, wine tasting, food and live entertainment complete with craft vendors and artisans offering unique gifts—it’s one of the lakes great events!

November 5: Annual Fall Chili Festival : Savor the essence of fall with ‘chili…just the way you like it’ at Bridgewater Plaza.
November 26: Annual Virginia Dare "Flotilla for Toys" CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE - Gorgeous boats "decked out" for the holiday season illuminate the lake for an evening of holiday cheer. The parade, a toy-drive event benefiting Lake Christian Ministries, leaves port from the Virginia Dare Marina at 7 p.m. and travels to Halesford bridge and then to Smith Mountain Lake State Park.
